Vincent Tacan, chief of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, has been charged with a historical sexual assault from 1984 after a woman reported the incident. Tacan, 65, denies the allegations, claiming they are politically motivated amid upcoming elections. He was arrested on November 5, and RCMP are continuing their investigation.
