A new study suggests that people taking Ozempic or Wegovy may have a higher risk of developing a rare form of blindness called NAION. Doctors advise against stopping the medications for diabetes or obesity treatment. Mass Eye and Ear doctors observed an increase in NAION cases among patients on semaglutide. The risk was higher for diabetic and overweight patients.
