The University of British Columbia (UBC) has opened the new Recreation Centre North, significantly increasing fitness and wellness facilities on the Vancouver campus. The 100,000 sq. ft. facility includes a large gym, multiple gymnasiums, a running track, and more. The $70 million project aims to address the campus’ deficit of recreational space and is part of UBC’s “GamePlan” strategy for sports facility renewal.
