Kevin Pillar announced his retirement from Major League Baseball after 13 years, initially planning to retire in 2024 but signing with the Texas Rangers for the 2025 season. The 36-year-old outfielder struggled with the Rangers, batting .209 in 20 games before being designated for assignment. Pillar had a successful career, notably with the Toronto Blue Jays, finishing with a .255 batting average, 114 home runs, and 54 defensive runs saved.
