Google is set to launch “Live Updates,” a feature similar to iOS’s Live Activities, displaying progress-style notifications on the lock screen and status bar. Already functional in Android 16 QPR1 beta, it may roll out in the next update. Developers can now easily add progress bars to notifications. Full support for Live Updates is expected soon on Pixel phones.
