Chef David Hawksworth’s restaurant group will take over the soon-to-be-vacated Boathouse space in Kitsilano, following its closure on September 21. The City of Vancouver plans a 10-year contract, extendable to 20 years, to transform the site into a destination restaurant. Other groups expressed interest, but Hawksworth’s proposal was deemed the best value.
