Audrey Leduc of Gatineau, Que., set a new Canadian 100m record at 10.94 seconds during the Edmonton Athletics Invitational, improving her previous best. She also defended her meet title with a time of 11.06 seconds. In the 400m, Christopher Morales Williams and Savannah Sutherland achieved world championship qualifying marks, with Sutherland clocking 50.62 seconds in her professional debut.
