The Independent Investigations Office of BC is probing the death of a 49-year-old man who suffered a medical emergency while in Vancouver Police Department custody on July 16. Arrested around 4 a.m., he was found unresponsive at 10 a.m. and later died in the hospital. The reason for his arrest remains undisclosed.
