The Vancouver Whitecaps have signed midfielder Kenji Cabrera from FBC Melgar on a contract through 2028, with an option for 2029. Cabrera, 22, has 16 goals and 17 assists in 122 appearances. The club is processing his immigration paperwork and hopes to have him by mid-August. He has represented Peru at the U-20 level.
