Google has chosen “Cinnamon Bun” as the dessert codename for Android 17, continuing its internal tradition despite dropping public dessert names since Android 10. This follows the previous codename “Baklava” for Android 16. Android 17 is expected to launch around June 2026, with the new trunk-based development model enhancing stability in updates.
