Lithium stocks soared Monday after Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) suspended production at its Yichun Project mine in China due to an expired permit. U.S. miner Albemarle’s shares rose 11%, and the Sprott Lithium Miners ETF increased by 6%. The mine accounts for 4% of the projected global lithium supply for 2025, raising concerns over tightening supply.
