Daily Dive — The Feed That Gets It. From headlines to hashtags, we’ve got you covered.

Daily Dive is a proudly Canadian-born digital news platform — founded in British Columbia with a simple mission: to create a smarter, more relevant way to stay informed.

The idea began when one of our co-founders, based in Canada, noticed a gap in how news was being delivered — too much noise, too little substance, and not enough local context. So we built something better.

Daily Dive delivers 60-word news summaries, combined with trending content from X (formerly Twitter), YouTube videos, and Shorts — all curated into one scrollable feed. It’s news made for how we actually consume information today: quick, sharp, and social-media-aware.

We’re local, independent, and deeply committed to serving Metro Vancouver and communities across Canada with credible, relevant, and empowering news — one dive at a time.

🌍 Our Mission

To provide clear, AI-assisted news summaries and local insights that matter to everyday British Columbians — all while supporting sustainability, local journalism, and the community economy.

📍 Rooted in BC, Built for Metro Vancouver

We proudly operate from Metro Vancouver, with a focus on hyperlocal content for our diverse, growing community.

We’re not a faceless media corporation. We live here. We care about what happens in our neighbourhoods, on our streets, in our economy.

🌱 Our Environmental Commitment

We’re doing our part for the planet by moving away from traditional paper-based news.
By delivering digital-first content, we help reduce paper waste and promote a more sustainable way to stay informed.

Through educational content and curated stories, we also aim to raise public awareness about the importance of environmental protection. We believe the environment is not just a cause, but a responsibility — one we pass down to future generations.

📰 Supporting Local Journalists

Local voices matter — and they’re being buried.

With massive corporations and billion-dollar media outlets dominating headlines, independent local journalists struggle to be heard.

Add to that Meta’s news link ban due to Bill C-18, and local reporting has become harder to find and less sustainable.

At Daily Dive, we:

  • Aggregate news from trusted sources
  • Elevate local journalism by ranking hyperlocal stories higher
  • Credit and link directly to creators’ websites to support their work
  • Provide a space where community reporters can be discovered

🛍️ Supporting Local Businesses

We believe local businesses are the backbone of BC’s economy.
That’s why we’re building a dedicated business directory to help British Columbians and Canadians discover local shops, creators, and services — online and in their own communities.

Let’s Dive In Together

Daily Dive isn’t just an app — it’s a movement.
A movement to take back control of your time, your information, and your community’s voice.

Together, let’s build a smarter, more sustainable, and more locally powered British Columbia.

Thank you for supporting independent Canadian media.
