19 impaired charges handed out during B.C. music festival
Police at the Shambhala Music Festival in the Kootenays nabbed 19 drug-impaired drivers and a trafficker. BC Highway Patrol conducted check stops, arresting two on warrants and seizing illicit drugs. The enforcement effort resulted in 199 alcohol screenings, 39 suspensions, 144 infractions, and 5 drug possessions. Sgt. LeBlanc praised the officers’ dedication to road safety.
