Olivia Smith is set to become the first women’s player to surpass the £1m transfer mark after Arsenal’s record offer for the 20-year-old Canada forward was accepted by Liverpool. Smith, who scored seven goals in her debut season, joined Liverpool for over £200,000 last year. Arsenal aims to strengthen their squad following their Women’s Champions League victory.
