Andrew Barber, a 39-year-old Canadian man, was rescued after nine days in the wilderness, surviving on pond water and foraged food. He was found near McLeese Lake after etching “help” on a rock and drawing “SOS” in the mud. Severely dehydrated and with a leg injury, he was treated in hospital and has since been released.
