Three workers are trapped over 500 meters underground at the Red Chris mine in northern B.C. after collapses blocked their escape route. They are safe in a refuge station with supplies. The mine’s owner, Newmont Corp., is coordinating rescue efforts with experts. Operations are paused as the province supports the rescue, which is ongoing.
