The man was convinced to invest through e-transfers and credit-card payments after clicking on a Facebook ad. Deepfakes are fabricated images and videos created with AI. Google suspended the advertiser’s account on YouTube for a similar deepfake ad featuring Justin Trudeau. Police urge reporting cybercrime or fraud suspicions.
