ATB Financial is acquiring Cormark Securities Inc., expanding its capital markets business. The deal, valued at over $35 million, follows discussions reported by The Globe and Mail. Cormark, which offers investment banking services, has faced leadership changes recently. Cormark’s CEO will join ATB as head of strategy, while its executive chair will become executive chair at ATB Capital Markets.
