‘It was a shock’: Toronto business owner says customer used point of sale terminal to issue himself $2,000 refund

Thieves in Toronto’s Queen Street East area are using businesses’ point of sale machines to issue themselves refunds, stealing thousands of dollars. At Souvlaki Hut, a customer took $2,000, while Pippins Tea Company lost $4,900. Security expert Claudiu Popa warns of severe vulnerabilities in POS terminals.
