Microsoft has cut access to its data centers for an Israeli military unit involved in surveillance of Palestinian civilians, citing violations of its terms of service. The decision follows internal and external pressure and an inquiry into the agency’s use of Microsoft’s Azure platform, which stored millions of phone calls.
