Rogers Communications Inc. has acquired BCE Inc.’s stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, making them the majority owner with a 75% stake. The $4.7 billion deal closed after regulatory approvals. Rogers CEO Tony Staffieri praised MLSE as prestigious. This acquisition adds to Rogers’ sports portfolio, which includes the Toronto Blue Jays. They also signed a new $11 billion NHL media rights deal.
