LNG Canada’s Kitimat facility in B.C. produces first batch of LNG, set to start exporting this year. Flaring for safety measures ongoing during commissioning. Facility’s Train 1 has 5.6M tonne export capacity, with potential to expand to four processing facilities. Phase 1 to export 13M tonnes/year, with Phase 2 expansion pending. Total investment of $40B includes Coastal GasLink Pipeline.
