St. John’s had the lowest inflation rate in Canada last month, with a 0.2% increase in the cost of living. Nationally, inflation remained at 1.7%. Newfoundland and Labrador saw a 0.5% rise in May. Charlottetown and Thunder Bay were the only other cities with inflation under 1%.
