Greg Iles, the Mississippi author known for the “Natchez Burning” trilogy, has died at 65 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. He kept his illness private until completing his final novel, “Southern Man,” published in 2024. Iles was celebrated for his storytelling and deep connection to Mississippi, where many of his works are set.
