The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Alex Barré-Boulet, 27, to a one-year deal. The Quebec native played for the Montreal Canadiens and the Laval Rocket last season, scoring 22 goals and 41 assists in 64 AHL games. Barré-Boulet made his NHL debut in 2020 with the Tampa Bay Lightning and has played 70 NHL games in total, tallying 12 goals and six assists.
