The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward Vinni Lettieri to a one-year contract worth $775,000 to boost depth. Lettieri, 30, had a strong AHL season with the Providence Bruins. He replaces Alex Steeves, now with the Boston Bruins. Lettieri has NHL experience with the New York Rangers and Anaheim Ducks. Toronto also signed other depth players. Lettieri’s NHL role for the upcoming season remains uncertain.
