Matt Martin retires after 16 NHL seasons, leaving only a few players without visors. NHL mandated visors for newcomers in 2013, but Martin continued without one due to his fighting role. He played his final game without a visor in April 2023. Jamie Benn and Ryan O’Reilly are now the favorites to be the last visor-less players in the league.
