The New York Rangers are transferring the 12th overall pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins to fulfill conditions of a previous trade. The Rangers opted to give this year’s pick instead of a 2026 first-rounder. The Penguins now have the 11th and 12th picks in the draft. The Rangers see the 2026 pick as a valuable asset for future trades.
