Microsoft Authenticator app will stop supporting passwords on Aug. 1. Users can now only use passkeys like PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition for authentication. Passkeys are more secure than passwords and help prevent phishing attacks. Users are advised to switch to passkeys for added security. To set up a passkey, open the Authenticator app, select your account, and choose “Set up a passkey.”
