New Windows 11 build adds self-healing “quick machine recovery” feature

Microsoft is introducing a quick machine recovery (QMR) mode for Windows 11 to help revive crashing PCs. This feature allows PCs to boot into the Windows Recovery Environment, connect to the Internet, and download fixes for boot issues. Initially announced in late 2024, QMR aims to prevent outages like the mid-2024 CrowdStrike incident.
