Automattic’s plan to transition Tumblr to WordPress is on hold, according to CEO Matt Mullenweg. The decision is to focus on user-requested features. The move may still happen in the future. This also means Tumblr posts won’t be available on the fediverse soon. Automattic bought Tumblr from Verizon in 2019.
