A pedestrian bridge over Highway 7/8 in Kitchener, connecting Strasburg Road and Chandler Drive with Avalon Place and Southmoor Drive, officially opened after delays. Project manager Andrew Doman stated it’s on budget despite challenges. The $9.5 million project was funded by the region, province, and federal government. Regional Councillor Colleen James highlighted the safety benefits for pedestrians and cyclists.
