The former Shangri-La Vancouver Hotel has transitioned to Hyatt Hotels Corporation as “Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni” temporarily. It will be renamed “Park Hyatt Vancouver” in 2026 after a multi-million dollar renovation. The hotel remains open for bookings without disruption. The property’s renovation marks the most significant since its opening in 2009. The tower is also expected to be renamed from “Living Shangri-La.”
