Vancouver City Council has approved bylaw changes allowing bars and nightclubs to apply for extended liquor-serving hours. Downtown venues can serve until 4 a.m., while those outside can serve until 2 a.m. on weekdays and 3 a.m. on weekends. Restaurants can now serve alcohol until 2 a.m. daily. The changes aim to modernize outdated regulations.
