The Vancouver Police Department disrupted a “violent criminal network” in the Downtown Eastside, seizing over 14 kilograms of drugs and $141,000 in currency during a three-month investigation. Nineteen individuals were arrested and released pending charges. This operation removed over 190,000 doses of drugs from the streets, contributing to a reported decline in violent crime in the area.
