Vancouver police sergeant Keiron McConnell, demoted and suspended for sexually harassing five women, has retired. The incidents, involving unwanted messages to female officers and students, occurred between 2015 and 2019. McConnell, the VPD’s longest-serving sergeant, faced disciplinary proceedings earlier this year before his retirement was confirmed by the department.
