The Belleville Terminal Redevelopment Project in Victoria will cost $416 million, with construction starting this summer and completion expected in 2028. Pomerleau Inc. has been awarded a $304-million contract. The project aims to enhance travel, security, and trade between Vancouver Island and Washington state. The federal government will increase its contribution to over $45 million. Phase 1 improvements were made to ensure uninterrupted ferry service.
